A shipping boat called the Rose of Nevada mysteriously reappears in a Cornish port, despite the boat and its crew being lost at sea decades earlier. A crew of two young men and an experienced captain are hired for a fishing run, seemingly unaware of the boat’s history. However, when they return to port, they realise they are now in a past version of their hometown - and the locals believe the two young men are different people entirely.

Mark Jenkin, director of the acclaimed Bait and Enys Men, returns with the cryptic, surreal and engrossing Rose of Nevada. Here, Jenkin has made his most accessible film yet, without surrendering his distinctive analogue filmmaking style and eerie, enigmatic storytelling sensibilities.
